Oklahoma State Question 813

This measure adds a new Article to the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma. This Article will heal State Question 788 which the Oklahoma State Legislatures, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Local Governments, has desecrated since 57% of Oklahoma voters passed SQ788 on the historic day of June 26, 2018. This Article will not only heal the damage created by those named above, it will responsibly legalize, regulate and tax Adult-Use Marijuana for persons aged 18 and older under state law.

Why is SQ813 needed?

Since the historic passage of SQ788, on June 26, 2018, our Oklahoma State Legislatures, cities, counties, municipalities, LEO's , and state agencies have collectively and or individually set out to over-regulate the medical marijuana businesses and the medical marijuana patients.

State Question 813 was written by medical marijuana business owners, medical marijuana patients, medical marijuana activists and others. There were no attorneys involved and this is written in plain language, not legalese. The purpose of writing SQ813 in plain language is to prevent the misinterpretation and or twisting of the meaning of each section. The reason we wrote this bill as a Constitutional Amendment is to prevent the continuing desecration of the Medical Marijuana Program.

SQ813 was written to protect the patients, the employees. the businesses and even adult users who do not want to be medical marijuana patients for whatever reason.

Currently, State Question 813 is on pause in front of the Oklahoma Supreme Court. On March 23, 2020 a protest was filed and We Are 788 argued our case for dismissal of the protest in front of the Oklahoma Supreme Court Referee on July 21, 2020. We are currently awaiting a decision from the Oklahoma State Supreme Court Justices. This decision can come down at any time.
